A 3375: Requires public schools in any city with a population over one million to offer Halal food options during lunch.
What A 3375 does, verified April 1, 2026
The proposed law requires public schools in cities with a population over one million to offer halal food options during lunch. This means that schools in these cities must provide a selection of halal food options for students to choose from during their lunch break. The law aims to provide a more inclusive and diverse dining option for students who follow this dietary requirement. The law will take effect on the 100th day after it becomes a law, and schools will be allowed to make necessary adjustments to their menus and policies before then.
