What A 3557 does, verified January 28, 2026

The Municipal Oversight of Natural Systems by Allowing Non-Toxic Options Act aims to regulate pesticides in municipalities. The law will allow municipalities to adopt local regulations for the distribution, sale, use, and transportation of pesticides, in addition to the state's environmental conservation law. These local regulations will be supplemental and not in conflict with the state's provisions. The law will also enable municipal governing boards to adopt local laws to regulate pesticides, which will be effective immediately.
