A 3824: Allows students attending agricultural learning events to be counted as in attendance at school; defines "agricultural learning events" as including FFA events and 4-H programs.
What A 3824 does, verified January 8, 2026
The proposed legislation allows students to attend agricultural learning events, such as those organized by the Future Farmers of America or 4-H programs, and be recorded as in attendance at school. This means that students can participate in these events during school hours, which can help them gain practical experience and knowledge in agriculture. The law change will take effect immediately, enabling schools to permit students to attend these events and receive credit for their attendance.
