What A 4071 does, verified January 8, 2026

The proposed legislation aims to improve the renewal process for pistol and revolver licenses in the state. The Division of State Police is required to keep a record of license expiration dates and send renewal notices to license holders at least ninety days before the expiration date. This allows license holders sufficient time to submit an application to renew their license in a timely manner. The new law will take effect thirty days after it becomes a law.
