What A 4430 does, verified January 8, 2026

The proposed law aims to modify the liquor license fees in New York. License fees for certain liquor licenses will be made payable in installments, with the option for licensees to remit the fee in equal annual installments. The installments will be due on dates established by the liquor authority, and failure to pay after the due date will be considered a violation. For renewals of licenses issued under this section, the fee will be discounted by 50%. The law will also allow for pro-rated license fees for licenses issued for less than the standard three-year period, with the entire fee due at the time of application. The law will take effect immediately, but a provision related to discounted fees will expire and be repealed on December 31, 2025.
