STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 446 2025-2026 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY (Prefiled) January 8, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. ANDERSON -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Housing AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in relation to the New York city housing authority and mold remediation The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 402 of the public housing law is amended by adding 2 a new subdivision 12 to read as follows: 3 12. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, upon 4 the report by any tenant of mold in a dwelling unit in any project oper- 5 ated by the authority, the authority shall have fifteen days to remedi- 6 ate said mold. The authority shall have sixty days from the remediation 7 to inspect the dwelling unit to ensure mold removal. 8 § 2.
