A 4816: Authorizes continuing education courses for hearing aid dispensers and home inspectors to be completed online.
The bill aims to amend the general business law and real property law to allow certain continuing education courses to be completed online. Currently, hearing aid dispensers and audiologists must complete a certain number of continuing education credits through approved courses to renew their licenses. The bill allows these professionals to complete online courses that meet the same requirements, provided they are approved by the secretary. The online courses must be approved by the secretary and meet specific requirements, including content, procedures for approval, and format. The bill also allows continuing education courses required for licensure to be completed online. The changes take effect on the 30th day after the bill becomes a law.
