What A 6023 does, verified January 9, 2026

The bill aims to amend the correction law to include authorized internet entities in the information sex offenders are required to disclose upon registration. This means that sex offenders will need to provide their internet account information and identifiers when registering, in addition to their personal details. The bill also requires sex offenders to register with the division within ten calendar days of any changes to their address, internet accounts, or enrollment status. A fee of ten dollars will be submitted with each registration, but failure to pay the fee will not affect the acceptance of the change. The bill will take effect ninety days after it becomes a law.
