The proposed law aims to protect the in-person visitation rights of incarcerated individuals. It prohibits correctional facilities from limiting or eliminating in-person visits without a valid reason. Temporary suspension of visitation privileges may be allowed in cases of misbehavior or emergencies. The law takes effect on the 30th day after it becomes a law.
