What A 6655 does, verified January 8, 2026

The bill aims to improve the management of unsold instant lottery game tickets. Licensed agents are required to prominently display their license in each place of business where lottery tickets are sold. If an agent goes out of business or sells their business, their license expires, and unsold tickets are returned to the division and redistributed to other licensed agents, unless the instant lottery game has been terminated by the commission. The bill also allows the division to temporarily suspend a license without prior notice pending investigation or hearing. Additionally, the bill updates the criteria for suspension and revocation of licenses, including reasons such as failure to account for lottery tickets, conviction of certain offenses, and material changes to the agent's business.
