What A 6747 does, verified March 27, 2026
The bill aims to amend the education law to provide additional building aid for certain projects. It increases the maximum project cost from $250,000 to $250,000 or less, allowing school districts to combine up to five years of project allowances for a single apportionment. The apportionment amount is determined by an annual county or multi-county labor market composite wage rate, which is indexed to the median of such rates. This wage rate is established by the commissioner of labor and ranges from $1 to $500,000. The bill takes effect immediately.
