The bill aims to allow registered pharmacy technicians to practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. A registered pharmacy technician can assist with tasks such as compounding, preparing, labeling, and dispensing drugs, as long as these tasks do not require professional judgment. The licensed pharmacist must be present and provide direct personal supervision, and the technician must receive proper training to ensure competence. The pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the technician's training and for approving the work performed by the technician before dispensing any drugs. The bill takes effect immediately.
