A 692: Makes technical changes to certain provisions requiring epinephrine auto-injector devices to be made available in places of public assembly; amends the effectiveness of such provisions.
The bill aims to make technical changes to the Public Health Law to ensure the effective implementation of epinephrine auto-injector devices in public places. This includes updating provisions related to their availability and training requirements for employees and volunteers. The bill also clarifies that individuals or entities are not required to acquire or administer epinephrine auto-injectors unless they are already required to do so under existing law. The bill will take effect immediately, but certain sections will be implemented after a nine-month period. This allows for the necessary rules and regulations to be updated and implemented before the new provisions are enforced.
