What A 7168 does, verified January 8, 2026

The proposed law aims to prohibit courts from changing the date of primary elections that combine multiple offices and nominations. This means that once a primary election date is set, it cannot be altered, except in cases where the president's primary is concerned. The law takes effect immediately, and it only applies to non-presidential primary elections.
