A 731: Relates to repeat offenders of driving accidents.
What A 731 does, verified January 11, 2026
The proposed legislation aims to enhance penalties for repeat offenders of driving accidents. A second felony offender is defined as a person convicted of a felony after having one or more predicate felony convictions. The bill expands the definition of a second felony offender to include individuals convicted of misdemeanors that would otherwise be felonies under certain circumstances. This change would increase the severity of penalties for repeat offenders of driving accidents.
