  STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 734 2025-2026 Regular Sessions  IN ASSEMBLY (Prefiled) January 8, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. STECK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend the county law, in relation to reimbursement for coroner and medical examiner fees from the county where the decedent resided The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The county law is amended by adding a new section 680 to 2 read as follows: 3 § 680. Reimbursement. The county with jurisdiction over a decedent may 4 seek reimbursement for services rendered and fees generated by the 5 coroner, coroner's physician or medical examiner from the county in 6 which the decedent resided. 7 § 2.
