What A 747 does, verified January 8, 2026

The bill aims to amend the cannabis law in New York. It prohibits adult-use on-site consumption licensees from hosting activities that include prohibited events such as gambling, contests, or fireworks. However, these licensees are allowed to conduct other business activities on their premises, including selling non-cannabis-infused food, nonalcoholic beverages, and allowing live musical performances. These activities are permitted as long as they do not involve smoking, vaporizing, or ingesting cannabis or cannabis products. The changes take effect immediately.
