A 7629: Increases distributions for problem gambling education and treatment purposes to $12 million.
The bill aims to amend the racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law to address problem gambling. It excludes mobile sports wagering gross gaming revenue and tax revenue from sports wagering gross gaming revenue and tax revenue, and requires a separate return of mobile sports wagering tax revenue to the state lottery fund for education purposes. One percent of the state tax imposed on mobile sports wagering will be distributed to the commercial gaming fund for problem gambling education and treatment purposes, with a minimum annual allocation of $12 million.
