This act establishes the "small cannabis farmer relief act" to provide relief to licensed cannabis farmers who have been negatively impacted by the cannabis law. The law allows eligible farmers to expand their canopy to twice the maximum square footage they cultivated in 2022 or 2023, without incurring additional fees. Farmers who previously held a microbusiness license can also qualify for this expansion. The expanded area must not exceed the maximum limits established by the corresponding cultivation tier and must comply with environmental, security, and testing regulations. The law takes effect immediately and expires on December 31, 2028.
