Assembly BillIntroduced
A 9331: Requires slow-moving traffic, trucks, buses, and other certain vehicles use the right two lanes of a multilane roadway and requires all lanes other than the right most two lanes on a multilane highway to be marked with "NO TRUCKS OR BUSES".
What A 9331 does, verified January 8, 2026
The proposed legislation aims to improve traffic flow by requiring certain vehicles to use the right two lanes of a multilane roadway. Slow-moving traffic, trucks, buses, and other specified vehicles are required to use these lanes, except when making a left turn, using a left exit, or where indicated by a traffic-control device. To aid in this effort, roadways divided into three or more lanes will have the lanes other than the two rightmost marked with "no trucks or buses". This change will take effect on the first day of the next year and allow for immediate implementation of necessary rules and regulations.
