A 9335: Relates to certain crimes of interference with health care services or access to places of religious worship; expands interference to include groups of two or more people demonstrating or preparing to demonstrate twenty-five feet outside of reproductive health care facilities and places of religious worship.
The proposed law aims to protect individuals from crimes of interference with health care services or access to places of religious worship. A person is guilty of this crime when they intentionally injure, intimidate, or interfere with someone because they are obtaining or providing reproductive health services, or to discourage others from doing so. This can include physical obstruction, threats, or damage to property. The law also applies to situations where individuals attempt to intimidate or interfere with people seeking to exercise their right to religious freedom. The penalties for this crime include fines and imprisonment. The law also clarifies definitions of terms such as "health care facility," "interferes with," "intimidates," and "physical obstruction."
