A 9520: Extends certain provisions relating to bonds and notes of the city of Yonkers until June 30, 2027.
What A 9520 does, verified June 30, 2026
The bill aims to amend the local finance law to facilitate the marketing of bonds and notes of the city of Yonkers. The city can arrange for private sales of its bonds or notes through negotiated agreements, where the underwriter or seller receives a fee, and the sale price is less than the par value of the obligations. This allows the city to market its bonds or notes without adhering to traditional public sale limitations. The cost of the underwriting or private placement is considered a preliminary cost. The bill takes effect immediately.
