S 1191: Provides for limited credit time allowances for working in the horse handling program for a period of no less than eighteen months and receipt of a certification from the Groom Elite program.
The bill aims to amend the Correction Law in New York State. It introduces two new requirements for certain individuals who have completed a minimum of 800 hours of work in a specific position. These individuals can receive a limited credit time allowance if they meet one of the following conditions: they receive a certificate from the Food Production Center after completing 800 hours of work in an assigned position, or they successfully complete a horse handling program for at least 18 months and receive a certification from the Groom Elite Program. The changes will take effect immediately.
