  STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1362 2025-2026 Regular Sessions  IN SENATE January 9, 2025 ___________ Introduced by Sen. SERRANO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to meth- ods used to capture or dispose of nuisance wildlife The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 5 of section 11-0524 of the environmental 2 conservation law, as added by chapter 265 of the laws of 2002, is 3 amended to read as follows: 4 5. Any person licensed pursuant to this section shall submit annually 5 a report to the department which specifies each client's name and 6 address, the date work was performed, the species controlled, the abate- 7 ment method used, the disposition of the animal, and if a lethal method 8 was used to capture or dispose of such animal, the lethal method used 9 and the reason why a non-lethal method was not used, and any other 10 information as required by the department. The department shall annually 11 update a list of nuisance wildlife control operators and enforcement 12 actions taken by the department against any nuisance wildlife control 13 operator for violations of the law and applicable regulations and make 14 it available to the public in both printed and electronic formats. 15 § 2.
