S 1773: Prohibits state contracts with contractors who do not provide health insurance which covers supplemental breast cancer screenings; authorizes the comptroller to promulgate any necessary rules and regulations.
The proposed law aims to ensure that contractors who receive state contracts agree to participate in health plans that cover supplemental breast cancer screenings. This requirement applies to all new contracts and renewals, as well as amendments or modifications, made after the law's effective date. If a contractor fails to meet this requirement, the state comptroller can render the contract forfeit and void. The comptroller will also be responsible for promulgating necessary rules and regulations to implement this law. The law will take effect 90 days after it becomes a law and will apply to all contracts entered into, renewed, or modified after that date.
