STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1879 2025-2026 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 14, 2025 ___________ Introduced by Sen. WALCZYK -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to amend the criminal procedure law, in relation to including federal law enforcement officers in the definition of police officer The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 34 of section 1.20 of the criminal procedure 2 law is amended by adding a new paragraph (w) to read as follows: 3 (w) A person who is a federal law enforcement officer listed under 4 section 2.15 of this title. 5 § 2.
