What S 2464 does, verified January 8, 2026

The bill requires public schools in the state to report the number of students enrolled in each school to the department on three specific dates each year: October 31st, January 31st, and April 30th. The reports must be accompanied by supporting documentation and published on the school's website within a week of submission. This applies to all public schools, regardless of level, and also to charter schools. The "enrollment" count includes all children registered for educational services from kindergarten to 12th grade, including those in ungraded programs.
