Senate BillIntroduced
S 3034: Prohibits the legislature from transferring funds from the power authority of the state of New York into the general fund.
What S 3034 does, verified February 4, 2026
The proposed amendment to the New York State Constitution aims to protect the revenues of the Power Authority of the state. The amendment would prevent the legislature from diverting any revenues of the Power Authority into the general fund. This means that the revenues generated by the Power Authority would remain separate and not be used for other state purposes. The proposed amendment would require a three-month publication period before the next general election, allowing for public review and consideration.
