S 3105: Provides for reciprocity agreements with other states for medical cannabis programs; directs the cannabis control board to promulgate regulations for the approval of pre-roll products in the medical cannabis program.
The bill aims to expand the medical cannabis program in New York by allowing non-residents who are authorized to use cannabis for medical purposes in their state or jurisdiction to participate in the program. These individuals must provide legitimate documentation and abide by the legal limits on cannabis possession, delivery, and production in New York. The board will create regulations to implement this change and may enter into reciprocity agreements with other states with medical cannabis programs. The bill also requires the board to establish regulations for the approval of pre-roll products in the medical cannabis program. The bill takes effect immediately.
