Senate BillIntroduced
S 348: Ends the local option of towns and cities to prohibit the sale of alcohol.
What S 348 does, verified March 25, 2026
The proposed law aims to end local options in towns and cities that prohibit the sale of alcohol. This means that no municipality can enact any local law, ordinance, or resolution that prohibits the sale of alcohol within its entirety. The sale of alcohol is now required to be lawful in every municipality where it was previously allowed through a referendum. The law will take effect on the 90th day after it becomes a law.
