What S 4254 does, verified January 8, 2026

The proposed law aims to ensure that information disseminated to the public by the state board of professional medical conduct and the department of health is made available in multiple languages. This includes publishing all information, findings, conclusions, and determinations in both written and electronic form in the eight languages most spoken in the state. The law also emphasizes that it does not abridge public access to information currently available or permitted by other provisions or rules of law, and that it only authorizes the disclosure of confidential information pursuant to its own terms. The law will take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after it becomes a law, and allows for the implementation of necessary rules and regulations on its effective date.
