S 5679: Authorizes United States citizens currently residing outside the United States whose last residence in the United States was in the state of New York to vote in certain federal elections.
The bill aims to allow United States citizens who are currently residing outside the country to vote in certain federal elections if their last residence in the United States was in the state of New York. These citizens must have met the qualifications to vote in federal elections from their last New York domicile, except for the minimum voting age requirement. They must also have a valid passport or card of identity and be registered to vote in another state or territory.
