What S 6218 does, verified January 8, 2026
The bill aims to prohibit individuals who have acted as foreign agents from holding public office or positions in political parties. A foreign agent is defined as someone who acts at the order, request, or under the direction or control of a foreign government, organization, or person outside the United States. This includes individuals who are controlled or subsidized in major part by a foreign government, organization, or person outside the United States.
