S 6252: Prohibits off-track betting corporation vehicles from being used as take-home vehicles by board members, officers, employees, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, or agents of such corporation or by certain family members of such individuals; provides an exception therefor.
The proposed legislation aims to regulate the use of company vehicles by off-track betting corporation employees and their families. It prohibits regional off-track betting corporations from issuing personal vehicles to board members, officers, employees, and their immediate family members. However, the corporations can issue take-home vehicles to employees under certain conditions, including having a written policy that meets state comptroller rules and regulations, and being approved by the gaming commission. The policy and related records must be subject to random audits by the gaming commission. The legislation will take effect six months after it becomes a law.
