S 6261: Relates to reporting requirements for full-time jobs where an individual is employed by a qualified participant for at least thirty-five hours a week and project hires; provides such report shall include the number of permanent full-time jobs, the number of permanent part-time jobs, the number of full-time equivalents, and the number of project hires.
The bill aims to amend the New York State Urban Development Corporation Act to implement certain reporting measures. It defines a "full-time job" as one where an individual works at least 35 hours a week. A "full-time equivalent" is a unit of measure equal to one full-time, annual-salaried position. The bill also introduces new definitions for "project hires" and "part-time jobs". To track economic development benefits, the total number of employees at all sites will be displayed, including permanent full-time and part-time jobs, full-time equivalents, and project hires. Additionally, the bill requires that aggregate economic development benefits providing for job retention or creation be displayed in terms of full-time jobs, full-time equivalents, part-time jobs, and project hires.
