S 647: Expands use of videoconferencing to purely advisory bodies.
What S 647 does, verified June 5, 2026
The proposed law aims to expand the use of videoconferencing for advisory bodies. It allows members of committees and subcommittees to attend meetings from non-public locations through videoconferencing, while still fulfilling quorum requirements. This change is intended to provide more flexibility and accessibility for public bodies. The law also ensures that the public has an opportunity to attend meetings in a physical location that meets accessibility requirements.
