  STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 670 2025-2026 Regular Sessions  IN SENATE (Prefiled) January 8, 2025 ___________ Introduced by Sen. JACKSON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Finance AN ACT to amend the state finance law, in relation to requiring a quar- terly report on the opioid stewardship fund The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 97-aaaaa of the state finance law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 8 to read as follows: 3 8. The commissioner of the office of addiction services and supports 4 and the commissioner of the department of health shall submit a quarter- 5 ly report to the opioid settlement board, the temporary president of the 6 senate, the speaker of the assembly, and the chairs of the senate and 7 assembly committees on alcoholism and drug abuse, that shall include, 8 but not be limited to, the amount of the funds currently held in the 9 opioid stewardship fund, the amounts disbursed that quarter, the names, 10 addresses, and amounts awarded to the recipients, and the names, 11 addresses, and the amounts received by the recipients, for such quarter. 12 Such quarterly report shall be compiled with previously submitted quar- 13 terly reports. 14 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that 15 the amendments to section 97-aaaaa of the state finance law made by 16 section one of this act shall not affect the repeal of such section and 17 shall be deemed repealed therewith.
