Senate BillIntroduced
S 6791: Allows snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles to be registered as farm vehicles upon approval by the commissioner.
What S 6791 does, verified January 8, 2026
The bill allows snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles to be registered as farm vehicles, exempting them from certain regulations. To register, the owner must submit an application to the state and pay a fee. The vehicle will be assigned a distinctive number and issued a certificate of registration, indicating the extent to which it can be operated on public highways. This allows snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles to be used as farm vehicles, while still being subject to certain restrictions.
