S 731: Relates to waiving the $200 microscopy registration fee for basic life support first response agencies.
The bill aims to waive the registration fee for basic life support first response agencies. These agencies are exempt from paying a fee to obtain a certificate of registration. The certificate allows the agencies to perform certain tests or procedures for up to two years. The agencies must file a completed application, provide documentation, and pay a biennial registration fee. Voluntary ambulance services and certain non-profit organizations are also exempt from paying the fee. The bill allows these agencies to operate multiple locations under a single registration and pay a single fee. The certificate is issued by the Department of Health, and the agencies must meet specific requirements to be eligible. The bill takes effect immediately.
