Senate BillIntroduced
S 806: Establishes when services for traumatic brain injuries granted pursuant to a waiver shall begin.
What S 806 does, verified July 2, 2025
The proposed law aims to provide services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries. The services are granted under a waiver from the federal Social Security Act. However, these services cannot be provided through managed care programs until January 1, 2027. The law also requires the Commissioner of Health to take necessary actions, including filing waivers and extensions, to continue the provision of these services. The law takes effect on the same date as a 2024 amendment to the Social Services Law.
