HB 204: Designate 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion Day
The bill designates March 9th as "6888th central postal directory battalion day" to honor those who served in the 6888th central postal directory battalion, the only all-black women's unit to serve overseas during World War II. This unit played a significant role in maintaining mail services in Europe, and their contributions were crucial to the war effort. By designating a specific date to honor their service, the bill aims to recognize the bravery and dedication of these women.
