HB 268: Regards filing for certificate of qualification for employment
This bill aims to modify the process of obtaining a certificate of qualification for employment for individuals who have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to an offense. An individual who has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to an offense and has served time in a state correctional institution or a department-funded program may file a petition with the designee of the deputy director of the division of parole and community services. Alternatively, an individual who has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to an offense but has not served time in a state correctional institution or a department-funded program may file a petition with the court of common pleas in the county where the individual resides or with the designee of the deputy director of the division of parole and community services.
