HB 333: Enact the Airspace Protection Act
This bill creates an office of aviation within the department of transportation to oversee aviation-related activities. The office will be responsible for organizing and supervising the work of employees, and the director will appoint the administrator of the office. The bill also gives the department of transportation authority to issue and amend orders, create application forms, and promulgate rules to carry out the bill's provisions. The bill establishes minimum standards for air navigation hazards, airport and landing area locations, sizes, and equipment, as well as rules for air marking, signs, and lights.
