HB 368: Require eviction records to be sealed after three years
The bill aims to enact a new section in the state's code, which requires eviction records to be sealed after a certain period. Eviction records will be automatically sealed by the court's office three years after the final judgment entry in the case, or three years after the date of final satisfaction of the judgment if a financial judgment was awarded. This new requirement will apply to all cases that are eligible for sealing under the new section. The records will be sealed within ninety days after the effective date of the new section.
