The state of Ohio is creating a specialty license plate for skin and scuba divers. The license plate, called the "Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc." plate, will be sold to motor vehicle registrants. The revenue generated from the sale of the license plate will be deposited into the state treasury. The money collected will then be transferred to the Public Safety - Highway Purposes Fund, which is used for highway maintenance and safety projects.

To amend section 4501.21 and to enact section 4503.966 of the Revised Code to create the "Ohio Council of Skin and Scuba Divers, Inc." specialty license plate.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.

That section 4501.21 be amended and section 4503.966 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:

1Sec. 4501.21. (A) There is hereby created in the state treasury the license plate contribution fund. The fund shall
2consist of all contributions for specialty license plates paid by motor vehicle registrants and collected by the registrar of
3motor vehicles pursuant to the Revised Code sections referenced in division (B) of this section.
4(B) The registrar shall pay the contributions the registrar collects in the fund as follows:
1378into the state treasury to the credit of the public safety - highway purposes fund created in section 4501.06 of the Revised
1379Code.

Section 2.

That existing section 4501.21 of the Revised Code is hereby repealed.
