HB 585: Regards DoDD authority re: community capital assistance funds

The bill aims to improve the use of community capital assistance funds by the department of developmental disabilities. The director of developmental disabilities will make rules to carry out the purposes of chapter 5126, including minimum standards for qualifications of personnel and community programs. The director will also review and evaluate community programs, withhold state reimbursement for non-compliance, and provide consultative staff service to communities. The director will adopt rules for using community capital assistance funds to acquire housing for individuals with developmental disabilities. The rules specify that funds may be used to acquire or construct single-family homes, duplexes, and other types of housing.
