HB 591: Authorize use of natural organic reduction as form of disposition
The bill aims to amend various state statutes to allow for the use of natural organic reduction as a form of disposition. This process involves the controlled breakdown of organic waste using microorganisms, which can reduce waste volume and minimize environmental harm. The bill authorizes the use of natural organic reduction for various types of waste, including household waste, and updates existing laws to reflect this new method of waste management. The bill also establishes a new section in the Ohio Revised Code to specifically address the use of natural organic reduction.
