A RESOLUTION

Relative to the election of Ty Moore to fill the 1 vacancy in the membership of the House of 2 Representatives created by the resignation of Don 3 Jones of the 95th House District. 4

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

  1. WHEREAS, Section 11 of Article II of the Ohio Constitution 5 provides for the filling of a vacancy in the membership of the House 6 of Representatives by election by the members of the House of 7 Representatives who are affiliated with the same political party as 8 the person last elected to the seat which has become vacant; and 9
  2. WHEREAS, Don Jones of the 95th House District, has resigned as a 10 member of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly 11 effective June 1, 2025, thus creating a vacancy in the House of 12 Representatives; therefore be it 13

RESOLVED, By the members of the House of Representatives who are 14 affiliated with the Republican party that Ty Moore, Republican, having 15 the qualifications set forth in the Ohio Constitution and the laws of 16 Ohio to be a member of the House of Representatives from the 95th 17 House District, is hereby elected, effective June 18, 2025, pursuant 18 to Section 11 of Article II of the Ohio Constitution, as a member of 19 the House of Representatives from the 95th House District, to fill the 20 vacancy created by the unexpired portion of the term of said Don Jones 21 ending on December 31, 2026; and be it further 22

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be spread upon the pages ..... 23 of the Journal of the House of Representatives together with the yeas ..... 24 and nays of the members of the House of Representatives affiliated ..... 25 with the Republican party voting on the resolution, and that the Clerk ..... 26 of the House of Representatives shall certify the resolution and vote ..... 27 on its adoption to the Secretary of State. ..... 28
