Honoring the Waynedale High School baseball team as the 2025 Division V State Champion.

3WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the Waynedale High School baseball team have combined talent and spirit
4with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the
5Golden Bears have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in baseball, and as a result, they defeated a tough Graham Local team by the score of 3-0 to win this year's Division V State
6Championship, the program's third title in four years; and

8WHEREAS, The Golden Bears' achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the
9players, their families, their school, their community, and their coach, Lucas Daugherty. In leading his team to victory, Coach
10Daugherty has not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of
11determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and

13WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay
14tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for a job well done. The maturity and experience the members of the
15Waynedale High School baseball team have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the
16challenges of the future; therefore be it

18RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of
19the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution,
20commend the Waynedale High School baseball team on its tremendous
21season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio's finest
22citizens; and be it further

24RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit
25a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Waynedale High
26School baseball team.
