She has exemplified the characteristics essential for success in sports, including courage, determination, and good sportsmanship. Daniela has conscientiously applied herself to the quest for excellence as an athlete, training and practicing diligently to ensure peak conditioning. She has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are hallmarks of a true champion. The resolution congratulates Daniela on her achievement and extends best wishes for continued success. A copy of the resolution will be transmitted to Daniela Scheffler.

A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Daniela Scheffler as a 2024 Division I State Cross Country Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
Daniela Scheffler on placing first at the 2024 Division I State Cross 3
Country Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, Daniela Scheffler has clearly demonstrated her talent and 5
perseverance, as well as her mental and physical fortitude, and she is 6
deserving of acknowledgement. A senior member of the Lake High School 7
girls cross country team, she has exemplified all of the 8
characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the 9
sports world, including courage, determination, and an innate sense of 10
the principles of good sportsmanship, and consequently, she placed 11
first at the 2024 Division I State Championship meet with a time of 12
17:01.29 and advanced to the 2024 Nike Cross Country Nationals, where 13
she placed tenth; and 14
WHEREAS, Daniela Scheffler has conscientiously applied herself to 15
the quest for excellence as an athlete, training and practicing 16
diligently in order to ensure peak conditioning. Time and again, she 17
has risen to the occasion, maintaining her morale, composure, and good 18
sportsmanship, and she has gained the respect of even her most 19
determined rivals; and 20
WHEREAS, Cross country is an event that requires exceptional 21
stamina and natural ability, and Daniela Scheffler is to be commended 22
for her commitment to this demanding sport. In attaining her athletic 23
goals, she has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity that are 24
the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
congratulate Daniela Scheffler as the 2024 Division I State Cross 28

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
